Overview

DAO Maker is a retail venture investment platform, bridging the gap between everyday investors and high-potential blockchain projects. As the platform expanded, its information architecture and scalability became a roadblock to growth.

DAO Maker partnered with The Disruptives to future-proof its UX, product structure, and visual identity, enabling seamless expansion into new offerings like B2B services, governance, yield farming, P2P transactions, staking, and frictionless payments.

The Challenge

  • Scalability & Information Architecture – The platform wasn’t built to accommodate new products, leading to navigation clutter, inconsistent workflows, and usability issues. As DAO Maker introduced more financial tools, users struggled to understand how each feature fit within the ecosystem.

  • Expanding Product Ecosystem – DAO Maker planned to launch B2B services, governance tools, yield farming, P2P transactions, staking, and direct payments, each requiring intuitive onboarding, clear interactions, and seamless integration into the existing platform.
  • Outdated Look & Feel – The UI lacked a modern, high-trust aesthetic that matched the evolving Web3 space. The fragmented interface reduced investor confidence and made financial data difficult to digest.

  • Fragmented User Experience – Key actions like investing, managing portfolios, and participating in governance were spread across different sections with no clear hierarchy, increasing friction and drop-offs. Users often had to click through multiple screens to complete a single transaction, leading to frustration and inefficiency.

Our Approch

  • Rebuilt the Information Architecture – We restructured the platform into a modular, scalable system that allows new products to be added seamlessly without disrupting existing user flows.

  • Designed a Scalable UI System – We created a unified design framework with reusable components and consistent patterns, ensuring that every new feature felt native to the platform.

  • Streamlined the Investment Process – By mapping user journeys, we optimised interactions to reduce the number of steps needed to complete an investment, making it possible to invest in just three clicks.

  • Refined Navigation & Feature Hierarchy – We categorised all financial tools, dashboards, and investment options into a structured layout, making it easier for users to find relevant opportunities quickly.
  • Empowered the Internal Team with UX Strategy – We led design-thinking workshops and UX strategy sessions, ensuring that DAO Maker’s team could continue scaling the platform with a user-centric mindset.

  • Optimised UX Writing & Investor Communication – We developed clear, conversion-driven UX copy and messaging frameworks, making onboarding, product explanations, and financial insights easy to understand.

  • Improved Mobile Accessibility – Recognising the shift towards mobile investing, we designed a responsive, touch-friendly experience, allowing investors to access and manage their portfolios seamlessly across devices.
