Today’s education system, a relic from the industrial age, seems to be gasping for breath. It was built in a time when fitting in and memorizing the book was the norm, a time when we were trained to be parts of a larger machine, not individuals with unique thoughts and dreams. This system, with its standardized tests and one-size-fits-all approach, is becoming obsolete in our dynamic, diverse world, leaving so many of us feeling lost, our potentials untapped, our voices unheard. But what if we could change all that? What if education could be a journey of discovery, a personal adventure into the unknown realms of our minds and the world around us?
Imagine a world where learning isn’t about sitting in a classroom and listening to a lecture but is about experiencing, feeling, connecting, and understanding the world and the people around us. In this world I’m imagining, education is about celebrating our humanity. It’s about exploring who we are, understanding our emotions, our dreams, and learning how to connect with others on a deeper level. It’s about nurturing our ability to think, to create, to solve problems, and to grow as individuals and as a part of the larger natural world.
We are living in an exciting time. The rising possibilities of technology are giving space for humans to regain our innate intelligence, at the same time giving tools to shape the education tailoring to our individual needs and aspirations. The magic of technology isn't limited to just individual learning. In my opinion, it's about building communities, fostering collaboration, and democratizing education, all what DAOs (Decentralized Autonomous Organizations) stands for.
In our educational future, DAOs play a pivotal role. They allow for decentralized governance of educational platforms, giving everyone a voice. No longer are decisions about curricula or learning methodologies made by a select few; everyone has a say, ensuring that education is truly by the people, for the people.
